Following the success of The Rocky Horror Show, he starred in the 1978 horror film The Shout. He played Robert Graves in the horror film The Shout two years later.

Curry has starred in films such as The Hunt for Red October, Congo, The Addams Family Reunion, and the 1999 classic Pirates of the Caribbean.

Tim Curry is also a successful musician, having released his first album, Read My Lips, in 1978, and his second album, Fearless, the following year, with songs like Paradise Garage charting well. Simplicity, his third album, was released in 1981.

Throughout his career, Curry has also provided voices for over 30 animated television series and films. The Little Mermaid, The Greatest Adventure: Bible Stories, and Captain Planet and the Planeteers are among them.
