Tyrus: Birth, Siblings & Education

On February 21, 1973, Tyrus was born in Massachusetts, United States.

He is not an only kid; he has a younger sibling, the identity of whom is unknown at this time.

While information about George’s schooling is sparse, it is known that he attended Quartz Hill High School in Los Angeles County, California in 1990.

He transferred to Antelope Valley College two years later, in 1992, and in 1995, he enrolled at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where he studied to become a teacher.

George was a great football player in college and also played for his high school squad. His football career, however, was cut short when he had surgery to remove a burst appendix.

At the conclusion of the operation, it was found that a nerve ending in his leg had been severed, resulting in a lifelong limp and the end of his football career.

Tyrus: Height & Weight

Tyrus has a typical wrestler build. He stands 6’9″ (2.06 m) tall and weighs 170 Kg (375 lbs).

He has black hair and brown eyes.

Tyrus: Professional Career

George used to work as a bodyguard when he was younger.

He quickly developed an interest in professional wrestling and joined World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

He made his ring debut in September 2006 as G-Rilla.

By October, he had joined a squad named Urban Assult and was the team’s enforcer.

The Urban Assult won the DSW Tag Team Championship after defeating The Major Brothers in the final match on November 30, 2006.

G-Rilla was kicked out of the group on December 21 following a string of losses.

Tyrus then joined forces with an old foe, Freakin’ Deacon, to create a tag team.

In their debut battle together, they beat Urban Assault in early January 2007, then in March, they fought and defeated Team Elite in two consecutive non-title matches, earning the DSW Tag Team Championship in March 2007.

Later that month, the squad disbanded when Deacon had a mental collapse after a game. George made his FCW debut on June 26 of the same year, still going by the ring name G-Rilla.

G-Rilla defeated Teddy Hart in a battle royal in September to become the number one contender for the FCW Southern Heavyweight Championship.

Murdoch was released from his WWE contract on February 4, 2008, and in January 2010, he re-signed with WWE, was assigned to FCW, and changed his ring name from G-Rilla to Brodus Clay.

Clay established a partnership with The Usos Brothers, dubbed the Colossal Connection.

Clay had battled and lost in the ring as a professional wrestler. He has also competed against other well-known figures in the business, such as and. Clay was released by WWE on June 12, 2014, following the conclusion of his storyline as Brodus Clay.

In September of the same year, he made his debut for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) as Tyrus. Under the ring moniker “Tyrus,” George became a Fox News Channel contributor on The Greg Gutfeld Show in 2016.

George, who is also an actor, has been in a few films, including Ethan’s part in No One Lives, Brodus Clay in Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery, Bateman in Enuattii, and as a security officer in Supercon, which was released in 2017.

He’s also been on Total Divas, Trashville, The Greg Gutfeld Show, Outnumbered, Fox News Specialists, Preacher, The Five, and The Purge.

Tyrus: Parents

George was born to a black father who was nineteen years old and a white mother who was fifteen years old. His father, he claims, was violent and struck him in the eyes, causing his mother to quit the relationship.

His mother returned to her parents due to his father’s violent behavior, but George and his brother were not welcomed since their father was black.

As a result, George and his brother were placed in a foster family as youngsters. They were ultimately reunited with their mother, but George fled home when he was fifteen.
