As of 2018, the African American is the head coach of the Denver Broncos of the National Football League.

As a result of this responsibility, he has etched his name in the franchise’s annals as the franchise’s first permanent head coach of African-American descent.

Vance Joseph was Born on September 20, 1972, in Marrero, Louisiana, the Marrero native began playing football when he enrolled at Archbishop Shaw High School.

He was a football and basketball player at this school. While Vance excelled in both sports, he chose to focus on football.

Vance Joseph transferred to the University of Colorado in 1990, where he concentrated solely on football.

He was a member of Colorado’s Buffaloes team until 1994.

Joseph Vance was a member of the team that won the National Championship in 1990 during his freshman year at the University.

In his 30 games at the school, he was a running back and quarterback.

He had a 55.7 percent passing accuracy and 4 touchdowns by the time he graduated in 1994.

Joseph was not drafted in the 1995 NFL Draft, but he joined the New York Jets as a defensive back shortly after.

He later played for the Indianapolis Colts before retiring from the game.

He played for both teams for two seasons, appearing in six games and recording two interceptions.

Vance Joseph’s NFL Coaching Career Beginning in 1999, he joined the coaching staff of the Colorado Buffaloes.

In 2002, he was hired as the secondary coach for the Wyoming Cowboys before returning to Colorado as the defensive backs coach until 2003.

For the 2004 season, he took on the same role with the Bowling Green Falcons.

He joined the San Francisco 49ers’ secondary coaching staff early the following year.

He left the 49ers in 2011 to become the defensive backs coach for the Houston Texans.

His efforts resulted in the team’s defense ranking in the top seven in the NFL for three years in a row.

During those three years, the team also won two division titles, marking the first league victories in the team’s history.

He was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals, who needed his expertise and experience, after his success with the Texans.

He joined the team in January 2014, and his presence on the coaching staff had an almost immediate impact.

The defense had the most interceptions in the league with 41.

The Miami Dolphins came calling and signed him away from the Bengals before the 2016 season.

He had similar success with the team’s defense, including helping the team finish high enough to be eligible for the playoffs for the first time in eight years.

Then came his first chance to be the head coach of an NFL team. On January 11, 2017, he was hired as head coach of the Denver Broncos.

This made him only the second African American to play in that position for the team, following Eric Studesville’s four-game stint seven years prior, and the first to do so on a permanent basis.

He finished his rookie season with the Broncos with a 5–11 record.

Joseph has been involved in his fair share of squabbles. Since 2004, sexual assault allegations have hung over the NFL coach like a cloud.

The first accusation was made against him in 2004, during his time with Colorado.

Vance was accused of sexually assaulting two female trainers, according to the allegations.

However, the case was closed after both of the women involved refused to participate in any kind of trial or investigation.

It came up again during his interview for the position of head coach of the Denver Broncos in 2017.

During the interview, he was again investigated and confronted with questions about the assaults. All of the allegations were denied by Joseph.

His Wife and Family Vance was born to Linda and Robert Joseph.

He has an older brother named Mickey Joseph through them. Mickey was a much more popular player than Vance during his time, and he has been a wide receivers coach on the Louisiana State University coaching staff since 2017.

Vance Joseph is married to Holly Joseph (formerly Pittman).
