Noah Dobson’s Promising Career

Noah Dobson began playing hockey at the age of four in his home province of Prince Edward Island (PEI).

He soon displayed his abilities as a skilled skater, earning him special permission from Hockey PEI, the island’s regulatory body of hockey, to join organized hockey at an earlier age than is customary.

Because of his outstanding ability, he regularly played in older age groups.

Dobson left his home in Prince Edward Island in 2014 to attend Bishop’s College School in Lennoxville, Quebec, where he was selected to join their hockey team.

Even though he considered coming to Toronto and joining the Don Mills Flyers of the Greater Toronto Hockey League, he ultimately chose to join the EC Red Bull Salzburg Academy in Austria.

He stayed in the academy for a season, living with former NHL player Brian Savage, whose son was also on the squad.

Dobson returned to Canada to continue his hockey career after his time in Austria.

His time living and playing in a foreign nation surely improved his perspective and refined his skills, all of which contributed to his growth as a player.
