SM Entertainment cast her at the SM Saturday Open Casting Audition in 2002.
Yoona was a trainee with SM Entertainment for about 5 years after signing with the firm and was trained in singing, dancing, and acting.
She got the lifetime accomplishment award at Dongguk University, where her Girls’ Generation colleague Seohyun was also a student.
