The phrase “to me, to you”, became very popular in the late 1990s as a result of the children’s TV game show To me… To you…, which was hosted by Barry Chuckle and his brother Paul, also known as the Chuckle Brothers. Barry Chuckle: Birth, Parents,&  Siblings

Although the To Me… To You… star rose to prominence as a member of the Chuckle Brothers with his brother Paul, he was born on the 24th of December 1944 in Rotherham, West Riding of Yorkshire as Barry David Elliott.

Barry Chuckle grew up with his brother Paul Harman Elliott, better known as Paul Chuckle, and two older brothers, Jimmy Elliott and Brian Elliott.

Barry Chuckle: Professional Career

Following in their father’s footsteps, all four brothers entered the entertainment industry, with the two eldest known professionally as The Patton Brothers.

They later appeared on their brothers’ television show, ChuckleVision. Apart from the two, Barry had another brother, late Colin, who did not join the family’s entertainment business, and a sister, Sheila Torr, who was married to English comedian and performer, Bill Waddington.

By the 1960s, Barry and his brother had followed in the footsteps of their father and elder siblings in the entertainment industry, winning the Opportunity Knocks TV talent show in 1967, launching them into the great things that they would achieve in the coming years and decades. They were well-known faces on the talent show New Faces in the 1970s.

The ChuckleHounds and ChuckleVision debuted in the 1980s, and in the 1990s, Barry and Paul debuted their highly successful game show, To Me… To You…, which aired from 1996 to 1998. The two brothers did a lot more with different types of children’s entertainment.

Aside from their TV shows, Barry Chuckle and his brother have performed on numerous stages together, sometimes alongside The Patton Brothers.

Their performances ranged from The Blackpool Tower Circus in 1974 to The Chuckles of Oz in 2015. The highly talented brothers have also dabbled in music, releasing the album To You to Me in 1995.

They collaborated with Tinchy Stryder in 2014 to release To Me, To You (Bruv), a charity single to benefit the African-Caribbean Leukaemia Trust.

Throughout their careers, the brothers received numerous awards, including the British Academy Children’s Awards and the Great British Pantomime Award.

In 2008, a rumor circulated that Barry had died as a result of a heart attack, and many people fell for the hoax, which lasted for nearly two years. The brothers were eventually forced to issue a statement claiming that the news was false.

Unfortunately, Barry Elliott died on August 5, 2018, as a result of health issues.

Barry and Paul Elliott started another show, Chuckle Time, not long before his death, even though he was having health problems that he kept hidden from everyone, including his manager and brother Paul Elliott.

Barry, according to Paul, wanted to perform for as long as he could.

While much is known about Barry Chuckle, one aspect of his life that he has kept private is his personal life. However, it is known that he had a wife named Ann Elliot.

He was said to have lived with his wife for nearly 45 years before his death, though it is unknown if they had any children.

Barry Chuckle’s death came as a huge shock to fans of the entertainer. This is primarily due to the fact that there was no word of him being ill.

Chuckle, on the other hand, had been down and out with various health issues.

According to his brother, Barry was diagnosed with bone cancer a year before his death but chose to keep it a secret.

Cancer had already spread to his lungs and contributed to his death before he died.
