Hunt has worked in almost every aspect of Hollywood, from acting to voicing to producing and writing.

Bonnie Hunt’s net worth is estimated to be in the $10 million to $20 million range.

Her father, Robert Edward Hunt, worked as an electrician, and her mother, Alice E. Hunt (née Jatczak), worked as a housewife.

She is of mixed ethnicity because her father is of Irish and Belgian/Luxembourgian ancestry and her mother is entire of Polish ancestry.

Hunt grew up in Chicago as a Catholic with six siblings, including three older brothers, two older sisters, and one younger sister.

She went to the St. Ferdinand Grammar School and the Notre Dame High School for Girls.

Hunt then earned a nursing degree and began working as an oncology nurse at Chicago’s Northwestern Memorial Hospital in 1982.

Hunt had always wanted to be an actress, but it was her daily interactions with her patients that inspired her to take the leap.

In 1984, she put her quick wit to good use by co-founding An Impulsive Thing, an all-female improv comedy troupe. Hunt began her training at the prestigious Second City in 1986.

She soon relocated to Los Angeles, California, where she landed the lead role of Carol Anne Smithson in Grand in 1990. This was followed by a starring role in Davis Rules (1991–93).

Hunt was offered three times a role in the famous Saturday Night Life, but she turned them all down in order to launch her own TV show.

That TV show would be The Building, which had a successful premiere thanks to her collaboration with David Letterman, with whom she had become friends and had appeared on his own show several times.

The two worked together again on another show, Bonnie, which aired for only 11 episodes (1995–1996) before being canceled.

While working on her own show, Hunt appeared in several feature films, including Beethoven (1992), Beethoven’s Second (1993), and Jumanji (1995), for which she received a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress, Jerry Maguire (1996), and others.

Life with Bonnie was Hunt’s third attempt at launching her own TV show.

It was more successful than the previous two, reaching the end of the first season and earning her a number of awards and nominations.

Hunt began voicing characters in 1998, beginning with A Bug’s Life. She quickly became a Pixar staple, voicing characters in films such as Monsters, Inc. (2001), Toy Story 3 (2010), Monsters University (2013), and others. Zootopia was her first non-Pixar voice role (2016). Bonnie played Sally Carrera in Cars (2006) and all of its subsequent sequels.

Her voice can also be heard in a video game and at the Radiator Springs Racers theme park.

Hunt hosted The Bonnie Hunt Show (2008–2010), a highly successful talk show inspired by ABC’s Live with Regis and Kelly.

Bonnie Hunt: Relationship Status

Bonnie Hunt, then 27, married investment banker John Murphy in 1988.

The couple divorced in 2006 after eighteen years of marriage.

On June 6, 2006, Hunt revealed her failed marriage to the media during an appearance on the David Letterman show.

While Hunt did not disclose the reason for her divorce, the public quickly speculated that it was most likely due to her relationship with David Letterman.

They met in the early 1990s and became fast friends.

When asked if she had ever been in a relationship with David Letterman, she denied it but admitted to sleeping with him. “We never dated,” she said precisely. We slept with each other but never dated.”

However, this does not substantiate speculations that their relationship was the catalyst for Hunt’s divorce.

Interestingly, it is still a possibility. For one thing, Hunt was married or in a relationship with John Murphy when she met Letterman, who was single at the time and remained so throughout Hunt’s marriage to Murphy.

Letterman has also been divorced, but this was before he met Hunt. From 1968 to 1977, he was married to Michelle Cook. He was unmarried until 2009 when he married Regina Lasko.

Bonnie’s 18-year marriage to John Murphy resulted in no children, and she has remained unmarried and childless since then.

However, in an interview sometime in 2015, Hunt stated that she would be open to a second marriage.

“I’ve spent the last ten years of my life by myself. During that time, I discovered myself. “I figured out what I want out of life,” said the actress.

“If the right person comes along who possesses all of the qualities I seek in my future husband, I will definitely consider marrying him,” she added.
