Nick Gates’ Professional Career
Nick began his football career while in high school when he was a member of the school football squad. Throughout high school, he maintained an amazing performance and record, and by his senior year, he was a four-star recruit.
The University of Nebraska offered him a scholarship, and he was accepted in 2014. In his NCAA football career, he red-shirted his freshman year and began playing offensive line for the club in the 2015 season.
He was red-shirted again in his junior year and was unable to play in many games. He began preparing for the 2018 NFL draft throughout his senior year and did not play in the last season for the college squad.

He was picked by the New York Giants in the 2018 NFL draft, however, he was eventually undrafted and signed as a free agent.
He was injured during his rookie season in 2018-2019, and he began playing with the squad at the Centre position the following season. His performance over the season’s 16 games was impressive and accomplished, earning him the captaincy for the 2021 season.
During a game against the Washington Football club during the ongoing 2021 season, he received a fracture in his left leg and was unable to continue playing. He was immediately operated on for fractured tibia and fibula zones. He is now rehabilitating, but his season comeback is uncertain.
