Shamari Fears was born on February 22, 1980, in Detroit, Michigan, to an African-American mother and father, both of whom she frequently displays on her social media profiles. Martina Fears, her sister, is her sibling.

She received his schooling at Southwest DeKalb High School before enrolling at Georgia State University, where he got a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She is of African-American descent.

The album was certified Platinum after selling 1.5 million copies and selling 1.5 million copies. On January 29, 2002, the album Blaque Out was released, which was followed by the release of the album Blaque Out. They were on sabbatical until 2007 and then separated in 2008.

She has been playing with Williams since Reed died in an accident in 2012. On May 31, 2019, they released their third studio album, Torch.
