In one of her interviews with The New York Times, Silverstein tells the story of how she met the love of her life. She recalls it being early 2020, at the start of COVID, and she was set to begin her project. Her deeds led to her meeting the love of her life.
It was Chuck Close, with whom she had a connection when she was around 20 or 21 years old. Chuck Close rose to prominence in the 1970s as a result of his gigantic, photorealistic portraits.
From the neck down, he was paralyzed. His arms regained some movement, allowing him to paint with brushes and strap his hands, allowing him to create portraits.

Ali Silverstein- Professional Career
Silverstein has appeared in a number of London productions. She’s also been a part of Tel Aviv, where she’s been an artist-in-residence at the Bialik Space. She was a part of the Best In Show group exhibition at the San Diego Art Institute in 2016.
Silverstein’s painting incorporates genuine, immediate stages of creation with canvas and suffering, as well as large-scale, unqualified movements.
While working on the raw emotions and action paintings, her gut intuition leads her to create an improvised and over-planned arrangement.
