Lee Haney is a retired professional bodybuilder, author, entrepreneur, and TV personality from the United States. Lee Haney is most well-known in the world for winning the Mr. Olympia title eight times, a world record he shares with his colleague Ronnie Coleman.

Since an indeterminate date, he has also had several additional achievements in his sometimes lucrative body-building industry.

When Haney was in high school, he joined his local Young Men’s Christian Association, where he met body-building trainer Danny Rogers.

He observed the teen’s early shape and told him, ‘Kid, you have one of the most balanced physiques I have ever seen.’

If you set your mind to it, you can become one of the world’s best bodybuilders.’ Lee was 16 years old when he competed in his first bodybuilding competition, Mr. South Carolina, in 1975.

He was unsure how to show himself at the time, arriving in supermarket underpants. Despite not making it to the finals, Haney treasured his first involvement since it let him make a decisive decision about his future ambitions.

He was ready to try again after another four years of intense preparation, so he entered the 1979 Teen Mr. America competition, where he won first place.

In 1982, he won the World Amateur Championship and the Junior National in the heavyweight division.

Two years later, at the age of 25, he set a new body-building benchmark by winning his first Mr. Olympia contest.

After establishing himself as one of the most coveted bodybuilders of all time, Lee made it his mission to win every other Mr. Olympia title he attempted.

Over the next seven years, he achieved the record for eight Mr. Olympia titles in a row, which was later matched by only one other bodybuilder, Ronnie Coleman in 2005.
