Tom did not work on his legs because he had back problems – he told his pals that working on your legs would only lead to back problems – but he had no clue that he would later become the proud owner of some of the best-built legs in bodybuilding history.
Tom went to Kansas City when he was 15 years old, switching high schools but remaining focused on his future career as a bodybuilder.
He decided to acquire a job so he wouldn’t be a financial burden on his parents, so he traveled to a neighboring health spa facility and asked if he could work as a personal trainer there.
