Harold Morrison was a Jamaican architect, entrepreneur, famous personality, and celebrity spouse. Harold Morrison recently gained media attention as Toni Morrison’s ex-husband.

In 1993, she became the first Afro-American woman to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature. Toni spent her life working as a novelist, essayist, editor, and professor.

After releasing her first novel, “The Bluest Eye,” in 1970, the author made her debut as a novelist.

Later, he relocated to the United States of America to further his education. Harold earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Howard University in 1964.

Harold married his wife “Chloe Ardelia Wofford” (her full birth name) in 1958.

They also had two kids together. Morrison and Toni had two sons, Slade Morrison and Harold Ford Morrison.

Unfortunately, Slade died of pancreatic cancer in his forties. He also collaborated with his mother on five children’s books. Toni’s children’s book “The Big Box” was written by her then-8-year-old son, Slade.

Harold and Toni’s marriage began to deteriorate in 1964. As a result, they decided to end their relationship and file for divorce. This was prior to the successful life of the Nobel Prize Winner.

Moxy also established his own firm, “Shearer & Morrison Chartered Architects,” in 1965. Toni’s partner later founded his second firm, “Morrison Associates,” in 1977.

It was also nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in fiction and an Anisfield-Wolf Book Award. Toni Morrison died on August 5, 2019, at the age of 88, as a result of pneumonia complications.

The author died on Monday at Montefiore Medical Center.

Her sudden death was first announced by her publisher, Alfred A. Knopf. Morrison lived in Grand View-on-Hudson, New York, at the time of her death.
