During the 2000-2001 season, Terry established himself in the Chelsea team, making 23 starts and was named the club’s Player of the Year.
Terry was appointed club captain by new Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho in 2005, and he went on to lead the team to several Premier League titles.
Terry continued to play football until the end of the 2016-2017 season when he retired after 717 games for Chelsea.
