Italian novelist and screenwriter who has published nearly a dozen books, but is best known for his novel White As Milk, Red As Blood. He wrote the screen adaptation of the same name, released in 2013. As of January 2018, he writes a weekly column for the historic Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera called Beds To Be Redone. Alessandro Davenia was born on May 2, 1977 in Palermo, Italy. Aurora Ruffino and Gaia Weiss starred in the film adaptation of White As Milk, Red As Blood. He graduated in classical letters from Sapienza University in Rome. He received his Ph.D. in 2004. In 2006 he completed his master’s degree in film at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan.
