Andrade “Cien” Almas is a Mexican specialist grappler who works for WWE. His real name is Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza. He has now been relegated to WWE’s Smackdown television show.

Almas spent nearly two years in WWE’s developmental territory NXT, where he won the NXT title once. Zelina Vega, his leader, or business partner (damn you WWE!! ), is flanking him to the ring.

Andrade “Cien” Almas wrestled for the Mexican promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre before joining WWE (CMLL). Because of a working relationship between CMLL and NJPW, he also performed for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), capturing the IWGP Intercontinental Championship in the process.

Andrade “Cien” Almas was born on November 3, 1989, in the town of Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico. He is the grandson of Mexican grappler “El Moro” and the son of incredible grappler Brilliante. His entire family, as well as kin and cousins, have a role in the wrestling profession.

On October 3, 2003, Andrade Almas made his professional wrestling debut. In his family’s wrestling progression, he wrestled at the start of his career. Brilliante Jr. was his ring moniker, and he wrestled to honor his father. From 2003 through 2007, he wrestled there.

In 2007, Andrade “Cien” Almas joined CMLL and began wrestling under the ring moniker La Sombra, wearing a cover as well. As he won many titles at the same time, he had an effective issue with CMLL. In CMLL, he quickly ascended the stepping stool and landed one of the top grapplers in the progression.

Almas was also one of the organizers of Los Ingobernables, a well-known CMLL outfit. Rush and La Mascara were among the first to arrive at the gathering.

Almas won the CMLL Universal Championship, the NWA World Welterweight Championship, the CMLL World Tag Team Championship, the Mexican National Trios Championship, and other titles during his time with the promotion.

Almas wrestled for NJPW from 2014 to 2015 due to a working relationship between NJPW and CMLL. He competed in prestigious tournaments including as the Best of the Super Juniors, the New Japan Cup, and the World Tag League.

Almas also won the IWGP Intercontinental Championship, defeating Shinsuke Nakamura before losing it to Nakamura again.

On November 19, 2015, Andrade became a WWE endorser. He was sent to the NXT region, which is a formative region. Despite his extraordinary abilities, he was unable to make an effect.

When he was paired with supervisor Zelina Vega, everything changed. He performed admirably after teaming up with Vega, earning the NXT Championship from Drew McIntyre at the same time.

Almas was drafted to Smackdown alongside Zelina Vega at the 2018 Superstar Shakeup. On May 15, he made his presentation after defeating a merchant.
