Andrew Graham Beshear (born November 29, 1977) is an American lawyer and politician who has served as Kentucky’s 63rd Governor since December 2019. He is a Democrat and the son of Steve Beshear, the 61st Governor of Kentucky.
Beshear was elected Kentucky Attorney General in November 2015.
Beshear sued Governor Matt Bevin multiple times as attorney general over topics including health care and pensions before challenging and barely beating Bevin in the 2019 gubernatorial race.
