Anthony Fedorov is a former lead singer of Chicago’s 7th Heaven band and an actor. Anthony Fedorov rose to prominence as the fourth finalist on the fourth season of American Idol.

Anthony Fedorov was born May 04, 1985, in Yalta, Ukraine’s SSR, and the Soviet Union. 

Anatoliy Vladimirovich Fedorov is his real name. 

When he was nine years old, he and his older brother Denis traveled to the United States, first to Florida and then to Brooklyn, New York, before settling in the Philadelphia suburb of Trevose, Pennsylvania.

He had a tracheotomy as a child due to a birth abnormality in his windpipe, from which a scar can still be seen.

Despite predictions that he would never be able to speak again, he healed and began singing at a young age. 

He’s a tenor who also plays the piano and guitar.

Fedorov is bilingual (Russian and English). He can also sing in Spanish and Italian. 

Unfortunately, his brother died of cancer in September 2006.

He attended Bucks County Community College after graduating from Neshaminy High School in 2003.

Anthony Fedorov – Professional Career

Fedorov appeared on American Idol during the 2005 spring season. 

He was well-recognized among the American Idol auditioners for singing ballads, which all three judges consider to be his greatest style.

Fedorov was voted off the show on May 11, 2005, after performing “I’m Already There” by Lonestar and “If You Don’t Know Me By Now” by Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes during Country Music/Gamble and Huff week.

Many feel that his performance of “If You Don’t Know Who I Am By Now” was one of his greatest, with him remaining on-key throughout the song and winning accolades from the judges. 

It was one of his most successful performances, along with “I Surrender” by Celine Dion and “Anytime You Go Away” by Paul Young.

Fedorov finished third on NBC’s Fear Factor special Reality TV version in June 2006, alongside American Idol season 2 finalist Carmen Rasmusen. 

He appeared in four episodes of Triple Threat, which aired on MTV’s Little Talent Show on September 26, 2006.

Fedorov went on to perform extensively following American Idol, including appearances at summer events and concerts.

In April 2007, Anthony traveled to European American Air Force locations to judge and compete in the Military Idol competition.

Federov’s “Ballroom with a Twist” production visited the eastern United States in April 2009.

In March 2009, he performed at the BMI Latin Music Awards honoring Gloria Estefan.

In December 2011, Anthony performed a solo concert at The Bitter End in New York City.

On January 1, 2013, Fedorov was announced as 7th Heaven’s new lead singer, succeeding Keith Semple. 

Currently, the band plays three to seven gigs per week in the Chicago region. 

Their album Synergy, with Fedorov on lead vocals, was released on June 11, 2013. 

On August 22, 2013, both parties agreed to end their relationship immediately.

Fedorov starred as Sailor/Insurgent 1 in Mako Kamitsuna’s Russian-language short film Katya, which was directed and written by him. 

Throughout the year, the film was screened at a number of festivals.
