Busson began working in the hedge fund industry with Dubin Swieca in 1986. He later worked as a marketing representative for Tudor Investments, which is owned by Paul Tudor Jones. In the year 1991, he founded the EIM Group.

The Swiss-listed investment firm Gottex Fund Management Holdings and the French financier then merged their businesses in 2013.

After Joachim Gottschalk left the position two years later, Busson was appointed as Gottex’s interim executive chairman.

Arpad is the chairman of the Absolute Return for Kids board of directors and a founding trustee (ARK). He had previously served as the organization’s chairman.

He did, however, resign from the position in 2009, but he remains chairman of ARK US and a member of the board. ARK is well-known for assisting children who have been victims of abuse, disease, disability, or poverty.

ARK funds projects that improve the health and education of disadvantaged children in South Africa, Eastern Europe, and the United Kingdom.

Busson is also a founding member of the Theodora Children’s Trust, a non-profit organization that sends “Giggle Doctors,” or special entertainers, to hospitals to bring music, laughter, and enchantment to children.

In addition to these, Busson supports the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
