The group first rose to fame in the 1980s and would release over a dozen albums throughout their more than two decade long career. Asanee Chotikul was born on April 9, 1955 in Thailand. In 2011, he co-founded the music label Music Union which became the home of artists like Nicole Theriault. He originally began his career in the 1970s as a member of the folk-rock combo Isn’t. The band successfully competed in folk song contests. They released several albums before he left the band to join the band The Oriental Funk.
