Asma just became the first Qatari woman to ski to the South Pole and climb Mt. Vinson on January 12, 2020.
In April 2018, she became recognized around the world after joining an unguided European-Arab team of 11 women trekking to the North Pole to increase cultural understanding and inspire other women to achieve their goals.
Sheikha Asma has already climbed Mount Aconcagua, Ama Dablam, and Mount Kilimanjaro.
She became the first woman in Qatar to climb an 8000-meter mountain without using oxygen.
