Facts about the BABYMONSTER

In January 2020, YG Entertainment trademarked the names BabyMonster (one of many group names explored for Blackpink) and Baemon (a syllable contraction of the former).

Both titles have since been utilized by other media outlets.

BabyMonster was founded with a “high-teen” image that was different from the label’s previous female acts, and it has been dubbed an “all-rounder” group, with its members dubbed “elites” by the public and media alike.

In a survey sponsored by the entertainment business journal JoyNews24 about the “Most Anticipated Artist of Late 2021 and 2022,” the group BabyMonster tied for ninth place with Ive, among others.
