Ben Schneider: Birth, Parents, Siblings & Education

In the United States, he was born Benjamin Schneider on October 18, 1984. He and his three siblings were raised in Michigan. He was a very creative child who excelled at both music and painting when he was younger.

Ben Schneider began his education in his hometown, where he began writing songs, and later transferred to the University of Michigan, where he studied visual arts.

Nonetheless, he completed his education and received his degree in France. He used to work as a painter to help pay his bills while he was still in school.

Ben Schneider: Professional Career

Ben moved to New York and then Los Angeles after leaving France, where he began his full-time career.

In 2010, he began Lord Huron, which was his personal project at the time. Lake Huron inspired the band’s name, as it was a place where Ben spent a lot of his childhood.

By 2012, the project had grown to include a band with more members, including Mark Barry, a childhood friend since he was five, as the drummer, Tom Renaud as the guitarist, and Miguel Briseno as the bassist. The band had already made a name for itself with its evocative sound by that point.

Lonesome Dreams, the band’s debut album, was released in 2012. This was followed much later in 2015 by the release of Strange Trails, which, like the first, was released on the Iamsound label.

Vide Noir, a collaboration with the band, was released in 2018 on the Republic label.

Wait by the River, one of Obama’s best discoveries of 2018, is among the album’s 12 songs.
