She was born in New York on May 18, 1941, making her 81 years old.

She was born to Saul and Sara Alpern, both of whom are no longer alive.

Her father, an accountant, died in 1999, and her mother died in 1996.

Madoff had a wonderful relationship with both of them.

She was reared with her sister Joan Roman, and they both came from Jewish households.

Bernie and Ruth Madoff married when Ruth was 18 years old; they met in high school and exchanged vows when she was 18.

They married in 1959 after being in a long-term relationship.

Many of them found them to be an encouraging couple.

What happened to their family?

Ruth and Bernie Madoff have a family; they married in 1959 and have two children.

Unfortunately, neither of them is in this world.

After two months, the couple welcomed their first child together, son Mark Madoff, and became a family again;

they enlarged their family with another child, Andrew Madoff.

Both children were kind and understanding, but Mark, their oldest son, committed suicide in 2010.

It must be quite difficult for his family. When this happened, his father had been in prison for two years.

When Mark was 46 and working at his Father’s firm as a trading desk,

he committed himself by hanging himself in the living room of his apartment.

He also had a family, including a wife and a son.

Andrew, their second son, died of cancer four years later.

Andrew was diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma in 2003.

Ruth, his mother, stayed with him in the hospital the entire time he was battling cancer. Andrew has two children as well.

Ruth was in pain; she had lost both of her children, and her husband was sentenced to life in jail.

He died in 2021 at the age of 82 from hypertension, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, and chronic kidney disease.
