Bob Peak was born on May 30, 1927 in Colorado. He and his contemporary and fellow artist, Jack Davis, both designed United States postage stamps. After earning a bachelor’s degree in geology from Wichita State University and subsequently fighting in the Korean War, he trained at Los Angeles’ Art Center College of Design.
