Wease began his radio career in 1985 as a late-night host on 96.5 WCMF-FM. Soon after, he moved to the morning show, where his show, “The Brother Morning Circus,” was one of the most popular in the Rochester market.

Wease also hosted “Radio Free Wease,” a Saturday music show.

When his contract with that show and the station expired in January 2008, he was forced to leave. His co-hosts stayed and took over the show, renaming it “The Break Room.”

He landed a job as a sales executive at Clear Channel Communications shortly after leaving WCMF.

Wease then returned to WFXF “95.1 THE FOX” on November 17, 2008, with a new supporting cast that included female co-host Lilly Hisenaj, Jamie Lissow, a local Rochester stand-up comedian, and executive morning show producer Anthony Caiazzo.

“The Wease Show” is the name of this new incarnation. He hosted a three-hour music show on XM Satellite Radio’s Virus channel in December 2006.

Deanna King is a TV news reporter and The Wease Show radio host on radio_951, iheartradio.

Wease was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in a ceremony in Chicago in October 2021. He was inducted into the long-standing category of local/regional personalities.
