Calandra Green Suicide-Murder Case: Oakland Health Officer Discovered Dead
According to sources, Dr. Calandra Green, an Oakland County health officer,
was found dead Thursday in what appears to be a murder-suicide.
Green’s and another person’s remains were found at a Pontiac home.
Authorities refused to confirm any information about the killings or the investigation.
Green began working for the county as a public health nurse in 2019 before moving on to become the Oakland County
Health Division’s quality and process improvement supervisor when the Covid epidemic began in 2020.
She eventually advanced to the position of public health administrator.
Green was appointed as the first woman of color to the position of health officer in April 2022.
The murder-suicide of Calandra Green has piqued people’s interest.
Oakland County Executive Dave Coulter issued the following statement following Green’s death:
“We are heartbroken to learn of the untimely death of our colleague and esteemed Health Officer, Dr. Calandra Green.”

Green’s family was notified when she did not show up for work on Thursday and did not
return phone calls, and the corpses of her and her husband, Charles, were discovered at their Pontiac home.
