Charlotte Owen, on the other hand, is a former special adviser recognized for her youth.

She earned a 2:1 degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of York in 2015.

Owen worked as an intern and parliamentary assistant before becoming a special adviser to Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Liz Truss.

Her time was split evenly between working for Chief Whip and Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury Chris Heaton-Harris and Boris Johnson.

Charlotte Owen, Politician: How Did She Make History?

She is a former British special adviser who was born Charlotte Katherine Tranter Owen and will receive a life peerage as part of Boris Johnson’s 2022 PM’s Resignation Honours.

This announcement, issued on June 9, 2023, means Owen will be the United Kingdom’s youngest life peer in history.

Even before this selfless act, Owen had held a variety of positions in Parliament.

She began her career with Boris Johnson and later went to the Number 10 policy section.

She worked for Liz Truss, the chief whip at the time, near the end of her political career.

While her political career has not been particularly distinguished, she is expected to become a member of the House of Lords.

Ben Gascoigne and Ross Kempsell are two of Charlotte Owen’s younger contemporaries.

Jacob Rees-Mogg and Priti Patel, who formerly served in Boris Johnson’s government, have also been recognized.

Former ministers Andrea Jenkyns and Amanda Milling have also been nominated for damehood.
