Chase Elliott is a professional stock car racing driver from America. Currently, he is a full-time participant in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving number 9 for Hendrick Motorsports.
He also races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with the number one Chevrolet Camaro and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with the number 24 Chevrolet Silverado on a part-time basis.
Chase Elliott’s Birth, Parents & Education
Chase Elliott, a native of Downsville, Georgia, was born on November 28, 1995, to Bill Elliot and Cindy Elliott. He is the family’s only son. His father is the defending Winston Cup Series champion from 1998.
Chase began competing in the racing series when he was 13 years old. On July 13, 2009, he was featured alongside thirteen other athletes for the first time.
During his childhood career, he competed in nearly 40 races of various series in 2010, winning twelve events out of the year’s various courses and finishing in the top ten almost 38 times.
Chase Elliott’s Professional Career
In the third season of his racing career, he competed in the Blizzard Series. Chase won the Winchester 400 to cap off the season.
In April 2011, Sports Illustrated named him the High School Player of the Week. During the same year, he competed in the Champion Racing Association, which he later won by earning the title of National Super Late Model Championship.
Later that year, shortly after turning sixteen, he became one of the youngest people to win the Snowball Derby. He beat the second-place driver by nearly 0.299 seconds that year. In 2012, he won the Snowball Derby for the second time in about three years.
Chase signed a three-year contract with Hendrick Motorsports in February 2011, and made his debut in the K&N Pro Series East 2011, finishing ninth overall.
Following that, he competed in the K&N Pro Series East in 2012, winning the race while finishing fourth in the series. He holds the record for being the youngest pole-sitter in the history of the truck series. By winning the NASCAR Nationwide Championship in 2014, he made history by becoming the first rookie to do so.
He began racing as a full-time contender in 2016, and was named NASCAR Sprint Cup Series 2016 driver of the year. In 2020, he won the Cup Series Championship, making him the youngest driver to do so for Hendrick Motorsports since 2016. Throughout his career, he has won 13 Cup Series, including seven road courses.
