Professional Malaysian diver who is known for competing in the 10 meters and the synchronized 10-meter events. She is best known for competing in both the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympic games. Cheong Jun Hoong was born on April 16, 1990, in Malaysia. She competed in the 10 meters synchronized event alongside Pandelela Rinong at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Ro de Janeiro. She first began swimming at the age of four and began diving at the age of nine. Training in Perak with the state coach, she was offered a spot to dive at Bukit Jalil Sports School. She attended the Universiti Putra Malaysia and went on to compete in her first Asian Games in 2010 and her first Olympics in 2012.
