Cristo, who has been a lifelong soccer lover, joined a major local team named Tecos F.C. when he was about 15 years old.
However, a catastrophic knee injury cut short his professional soccer career.

During his stay at the University of Guadalajara, Cristo developed an interest in acting, which led him to enroll at the Guildford School of Acting in England, sowing the seeds of an acting career.
