David Carreira Career

David Carreira appeared in the eighth season of Morangos with Açcar on TVI in the role of “Lourenço Seixas” in 2010.

In 2012, he starred in the TVI telenovela series Louco Amor as Chico, a 21-year-old who dates and hooks up with older women.

In October 2011, he released his debut album N.1, which was produced by the French production duo Tefa et Blasta and positioned him as a young pop act appealing to large audiences with a blend of pop, dance, hip hop, and R&B.

The album was a huge success, spending 43 weeks at the top of the Portuguese Albums Chart and peaking at number one.

The album received a double-platinum certification. The album’s lead single, “Esta Noite,” became a major hit.

David Carreira embarked on a major tour, which culminated in a concert at the Coliseu dos Recreios on February 16, 2013.
On November 11, 2013, he released his follow-up album A força está em nós, which featured collaborations from Snoop Dogg, Bxsoss AC, Anselmo Ralph, Diana Chaves, and the Fringe Festival.

Carreira developed an international career alongside his Portuguese career, beginning with the French-language market through a deal with Warner France.

His first single in France was “Obrigado la Familia,” a collaboration with French rapper Dry.

Wati B, who has worked with major French hip hop acts such as Sexion d’Assaut, Maître Gims, and The Shin Seka, produced the single.

The single was the first single to be released from the upcoming French-language album, which will be released in 2014 by Warner Music France.

The album included collaborations with rapper Dry, as well as singers Tal and Tunisiano. A second single, “Boom,” was released, and David Carreira promoted it by performing it live on the French talk and variety show Vivement Dimanche, hosted by Michel Drucker, and during a special sequence with David’s father, Tony Carreira.

He was cast in the lead role of the highly popular young series Morangos com Açúcar.
