A big, physical defender who became the first American-born captain in NHL history to hoist the Stanley Cup when he led the Dallas Stars to a championship in 1999. Drafted 8th overall by the Minnesota North Stars in 1990, he stuck with the franchise when they moved to Dallas and spent a total of 12 seasons with the team.
