Jazz artist who was a member of Charlie Parker’s classic quintet from 1947 until 1948, which also featured Miles Davis. Duke Jordan was born on April 1, 1922 in New York City, NY. He contributed to the score of the 1959 French film Les Liaisons Dangereuses, which was directed by Roger Vadim. He drove a taxi in New York during the mid-1960s in order to pay the bills.
