Greco is said to have fled in 2006. Until the mid-2010s, there was no trace of the convicted murderer.

Edgardo moved to Saint-Etienne in 2014 and began working in the restaurant industry.

He bought Caffe Rossini Ristorante, an Italian restaurant, in 2021.

He ran the eatery until November of that year. According to documentation obtained by Agence France-Presse, he worked as Paolo Dimitrio in other Italian restaurants in the city.

According to the Caffe Rossini Ristorante’s Facebook page,

A local news outlet covered its inauguration in 2021. However, the account appears to have been removed.

Greco also worked evenings at a pizzeria under a fictitious name.

According to the prosecution, after his early-morning arrest, the investigating

magistrate in Lyon formally informed the mafia boss of Italy’s arrest order. He is now detained.

The cooperation against ‘The Ndrangheta program (I-Can) sponsored by Interpol, which fosters police cooperation among its 195 member states,

assisted Italian and French investigators in apprehending Greco.

Edgardo Greco was apprehended in France with the help of the Interpol Cooperation Against ‘Ndrangheta (I-CAN) Project.

The carabinieri brought detectives to Saint-Etienne after tracing Greco’s network of followers.

Interpol and the French Police escaped the convicted murderer, who was apprehended by Italian police.

Edgardo Greco received a life sentence in prison. Edgardo Greco, a dangerous fugitive,

was sentenced to life in prison in Italy for the murders of Stefano and Giuseppe Bartolomeo.

The Bartolomeo brothers died at a fish warehouse in January 1991 after being assaulted with iron bars, according to Italian detectives.
