Tuktamysheva started skating when she was three years old and was taught by Elena Proskurina, Lubov Yakovleva, and Elena Selivanova.
Around 2007, she began working with Eteri Tutberidze at the Olympic Reserve Sports School No. 37, afterward renamed Sambo 70.
In 2012, she made her senior national debut, finishing eighth, and later finished sixth at the junior level.
She had an injury at the start of the following season and was unable to compete in the senior Russian Nationals.
She also finished fourth in the 2013 Russian Junior Championships, trailing Maria Sotskova.
