Von Haessler and his “Doctrinaires” have renewed their radio contracts with WSB.

He now works as the host of the podcast The Von Haessler Doctrine, which features Von Haessler, Autumn Fischer, Tim Andrews, and Jae Yamamoto, and he announced the news on social media platforms on Thursday without specifying the length of the new contracts.

In recent weeks, his show, which began in its current time slot of 9 a.m. to noon in early 2017 to replace the late Herman Cain, has made reference to the ongoing negotiations on the air.

WSB, which can be heard on 95.5 FM, 750 AM, and online, has no reason to complain: the podcast has been a consistent No. 1 performer on a station that has been largely No. 1 in Atlanta for several years.

“Contract negotiations are always a little awkward, but management has never wavered in their support for the show,” Von wrote in a text. There is a great deal of mutual respect.”

Drew Anderssen, the WSB’s program director, declined to comment.

In 1995, Von co-founded “The Regular Guys” show in Los Angeles before bringing it to Atlanta and 96 Rock in 1998.

The show quickly rose to prominence as a rating powerhouse and a true Atlanta radio institution. After too many run-ins with the FCC and political correctness, the show left 96 Rock and was earned on Rock 100.5 from 2008 to 2013.

All Haessler did with it was continue to please viewers as the steadfast Libertarian with an open mind and the host of the daily “News Jog” segment. Eric was, by his own admission, the worst stand-up comedian of the 1980s.

Von began his radio career in the early 1990s by producing a Top 40-morning show in Western New York, and he quickly realized he had found a home for his talents. In 2013, he left The Regular Guys.
