Fairuz Fauzy Career
Fairuz began competing in karting events in 1994 before moving on to British Formula Ford at the beginning of 1999.
For 2005, he moved to the GP2 Series, where he was one of several Asian drivers.
Despite being the only driver to start every race and fail to score a point, he returned to the series in 2006, again failing to score a point.
During this time, he was also one of A1 Team Malaysia’s drivers in the A1 Grand Prix series (along with Alex Yoong).
Fairuz raced for the Cram Competition team in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series.
In 2008, he returned to GP2 with the SuperNova team in the GP2 Asia Series.
In 2009, he raced for Mofaz Racing in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series.
Fairuz finished second in the final race at the Ciudad del Motor de Aragón, leapfrogging the four drivers ahead of him to finish second in the championship standings to Bertrand Baguette.
He competed in the GP2 Asia Series in 2008, driving for the Super Nova team.
