He had the second narrowest waistline of all the competitors at Mr. Olympia, and earned the moniker “The Chemist” because he had a science degree and was utilizing a lot of supplements and amino acids, which was unusual at the time.

Frank was unfortunately involved in a catastrophic accident after earning his three Mr. Olympia titles, which nearly cost him his life. He lost a significant amount of muscular mass, making him no longer one of the greatest US bodybuilders, and he was defeated by Arnold Schwarzenegger, a prominent actor, and bodybuilder.

Frank had previously defeated Arnoldt, making him one of just three persons to do so, and held the titles of Mr. America, Mr. Universe, and Mr. Olympia during his career; however, following his accident, things changed.

Frank and his wife decided to start their own bodybuilding center named “Zane Haven” after he had to stop competing. It is located in Palm Springs, California, and is a place for anyone who wants to improve their physique.

Frank changed the name of his center to “Zane Experience” and opened the Zane Gallery in Laguna Beach, California, which specializes in bodybuilding art.

His wife Christine, who is both an artist and a bodybuilder, was the driving force behind the exhibition. Frank also has a website where he sells his books, supplements, and other fitness-related goods.

In 1994, Frank was inducted into the Joe Weider Hall of Fame, and he has also worked as a writer. His “Frank Zane Newsletter” focuses on everything you need to know about bodybuilding, and he has authored several publications, the first of which was “The Zane Way to a Beautiful Body” in 1979 and the most recent of which was “The Zane Bodybuilding Manual” in 2018.
