He also wrote numerous screenplays, including that of the popular 2012 film, Ghetuputra Kamola. Humayun Ahmed was born on November 13, 1948 in Bangladesh. He, like Jewel Aich , was a recipient of the prestigious Ekushey Padak award. After graduating from Dhaka University, he earned a Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from North Dakota State University.
