A Scottish actor who starred as Professor Henry Higgins in the 1976 Broadway revival of “My Fair Lady.” He is perhaps best known for his television role of Francis Urquhart in the BBC trilogy “House of Cards.” Ian Richardson was born on April 7, 1934 in Scotland. He appeared with Helen Mirren in the 1968 film version of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
