Iván Marcos’s Professional Career
He had his first important appearance on Galician television in 2011 with the TVG series Matalobos, in which he played Méndez beginning in the third season.
He went on to appear in José Luis Cuerda’s film Todo es Silencio (2012), the Galician film Las high Tension (2014), and Pascal Chaumeil’s film An unexpected job (Un petit boulot, 2016).
In 2017, he received the Mestre Mateo Award for Best Male Lead Portrayal for his performance in Andrés Goteira’s film Dogs. He returned to television later that year, this time on national television, to play Braulio Montes in Faria and Curro in the Netflix original series Las chicas del cable for three episodes, both in 2018.
He was cast alongside Carlos Cuevas and Guiomar Puerta as the protagonist of the Antena 3 series 45 revolutions a year later.
In the horror film Malasaa 32, which he starred in at the start of 2020, he played Manolo, the father of a family who lives in a building where strange things happen. He also appeared in the Spanish television series Cuéntame cómo pasa in a minor part.
In the same year, he signed a deal to co-star with Blanca Suárez in the Netflix original series Jaguar as Lucena, which will premiere in September 2021 worldwide.
Before the series premiere in June 2021, it was announced that it would be joining the Atresmedia series Heridas, which is based on the popular Turkish soap opera Madre.
