Jennifer Granholm Career
From 1987 to 1988, after graduating from Harvard Law School, Granholm clerked for Judge Damon Keith, a senior judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Granholm became an assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan in 1991 after working as an attorney in the Wayne County executive office from 1989 to 1991.
She assisted in the prosecution of drug dealers, gang members, and child pornographers, as well as suing the state and fighting credit card fraud.
Granholm convicted 151 of the 154 people he tried. She was appointed Corporation Counsel for Wayne County in 1995, making her the youngest person to hold the position
She was only the second Canadian-born governor of a US state.
