Jesse Wegman- Professional Career
Jesse began preparing for a professional career in 1997, shortly after graduating with a B.A. in 1996. He was hired as an assistant producer/reporter, and his work included in-depth coverage of topics such as climate change negotiations in Germany and an award-winning documentary about folk musician Pete Seeger.
From 1997 to 2002, he worked for NPR’s Living On Earth. Following that, from January 2001 to January 2002, he worked as a contributing editor for Copy Editor Magazine for a year. Jesse kept track of his freelance reporting for WNYC Public Radio at the same time.
He was appointed as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk in 2005, and his responsibilities included producing opinions for US Magistrate Judges and other civil rights matters.
