Baseball player who was an elite pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds in the 50’s and 60’s, starting two games in the 1961 World Series against the New York Yankees. In 1970, he was inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame. Jim O’Toole was born on January 10, 1937 in Illinois. He was teammates with fourteen-time All-Star Frank Robinson. He attended Leo High School in Chicago and, later, the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He spent one season with the minor league Nashville Vols before debuting with the Reds in 1958.
