He is the winner of such events as the 2012 African Championships in Athletics and the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Julius Yego was born on January 4, 1989, in Kenya. He beat out Trinidadian Olympic gold medalist Keshorn Walcott at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
