His short fiction work, Sin at Easter and Other Stories, was translated into English by Danguole Sealey. Juozas Tumas-Vaizgantas was born on September 20, 1869, in Lithuania. He and Tomas Venclova were fellow Lithuanian writers. He studied at the Kaunas Seminary and was ordained as a priest in 1893.
