Ken Fisher is the founder and chairman of Fisher Investments, a multibillion-dollar investment firm based in the United States. He is also a financial advisor, an investment analyst, and a published author. He is one of the Forbes 400 wealthiest people in the United States.

Ken Fisher was born on November 29, 1950, as Kenneth Lawrence Fisher. He is the third and youngest son of Philip Arthur Fisher, a famous stock investor, and his wife, Dorothy Whyte.

Donald Fisher and Arthur Fisher are his two older brothers. He grew raised in San Mateo, California, and had a wonderful upbringing.

He had always believed that high school was a waste of time, so he dropped out and enrolled in a community college to further his education.

He went to Humboldt State University to study forestry, but instead chose economics and graduated in 1972.

Later that year, Humboldt University presented him with the Distinguished Alumni Award.

He returned to San Francisco after graduation and joined his father’s company, ‘Fisher & Co.’ It was a financial management firm. He started as an investor, then moved on to mergers and acquisitions consulting, and finally to research analyst.

He decided to start his own business in 1979, and ‘Fisher Investments’ was born. He began his business with barely $250 in his pocket. He took his time because he had little funds, but he eventually formed the corporation in 1986.

He was the CEO until July of 2016. He is now the Executive Chairman and Co-Chief Investment Officer of the company.

By the year 2000, the corporation had achieved widespread success and had extended from the United States to the United Kingdom and Canada.

In the year 2012, it also established a subsidiary to engage in the European market. Fisher Investments now has 175 institutions and 40,000 individual investors.
