Daniel Lawrence Whitney, better known as Larry The Cable Guy, was born on February 17, 1963, in Pawnee City, Nebraska. His parents reared him on a pig farm in Nebraska.

Shirley Whitney was his mother, while his father, Tom Whitney, was a Christian preacher, performer, and musician. He also has a sister, Debbie Whitney, and a brother, Tom Whitney Jr.

He received his secondary education at The King’s Academy in Florida, where his father was the principal of the primary school. He began attending Berean Christian School in West Palm Beach in 1982.

Larry The Cable Guy was also a part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, which included Ron White, Jeff Foxworthy, and Bill Engvall. He has not only been in three Blue Collar Comedy Tour films, but he has also produced seven comedy CDs.

Three of his seven comedy albums have sold over 500,000 copies, earning them a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.

In addition, he appeared in Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, Delta Farce, and Witless Protection. The films had average financial success but were unanimously and massively criticized by critics; several of them were even nominated for Golden Raspberry Awards, which are given to the year’s worst films.
