Lisa Wishart, a well-known Scottish hospitality staff member, died of an illness. Lisa Wishart was the daughter of former Celtic player Harry Hood and the managing director of Lisini Pub Company, which runs well-known institutions such as Angels in Uddingston, Dalziel Park in Motherwell, The Parkville in Blantyre, and The Croft in Glasgow.

According to a statement of Lisini, Ms. Wishart died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after a long illness, surrounded by her family.

In December 2021, she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage.

Over the years, she evolved into an industry spokesman, speaking out on critical topics such as rates and immigration during the pandemic.

She was a founder member of the Scottish Hospitality Group and a strong advocate for the industry.

She was also on the board of The Ben, a registered trade charity.

She continued to carry on her Father’s sporting skills by commencing her career as a PE teacher at Mary Erskine School in Edinburgh after getting her Batchelor of Education from Dunfermline College of PE.

While her father was successful in football, Lisa chose hockey and represented Scotland.

Due to a knee injury, she had to leave PE and joined the family firm as Manager of Angels before becoming Managing Director in 1992.

Lisa Wishart died after a long illness. Lisa was a one-off, according to Susan Young, author of the official trade publication The Dram.

She was straightforward, had a keen business sense, and was enthusiastic about hospitality.

Lisa was persuasive, knowledgeable about numbers, and a staunch advocate of morality.

She was also a lot of fun, had a fantastic sense of humor, and was loved by everyone she met.

Her death has left a void in her family’s hospitality company.

Lisa was dedicated to delivering hospitality to her staff and clients.

Over time, she evolved into a sector advocate, speaking out on critical topics such as rates and immigration.

She supported the industry during the epidemic and was a founder member of the Scottish Hospitality Group.

It employs around 300 people at places such as Angels in Uddingston, Dalziel Park in Motherwell, The Parkville in Blantyre, the Castle Rooms in Uddingston, and The Croft in Glasgow.

Her parents, Harry and Kathleen, launched the family-run Lisini Pub in 1969, while Mr. Hood was still playing football.

He also had stints at Clyde, Sunderland, Motherwell, and Queen of the South. Hood died in the year 2019.
